Segmenting Contacts

You can use contact details and campaign information to filter contacts into segments. You can choose a single filter or combine multiple filters using and/or logic.

How to segment contacts

  1. Go to Contacts
  2. Select the Segments tab
  3. Click New segment
  4. Name your segment

By default, all your contacts will be shown in the segment before you apply filters.

  1. Select to apply an AND or OR logic to your filters
  2. Click the + icon
  3. Select Add rule
  4. Apply filter rules using the available dropdowns

You can apply multiple filters using the same logic (AND or OR) by following steps 6 to 8.

If you want to apply the opposite logic in the same segment:

  1. Click the + icon
  2. Select Add rule set
  3. Change the logic by clicking AND or OR
  4. Click the + icon next to the logic buttons

Below, we'll go over the different filters you can use and walk you through using this feature.
